A Seller Story - Gua Sha Stones

Florin, the founder of a Gua Sha stone brand, decided to sell his brand to eBrands, and we thought it would be a good idea to share the process he went through and the reason he chose us. Florin has a multinational working background spread over 5 years and decided to go solo and start an online business.

Here is what Florin has to say about his journey of selling his brand.

The idea came to my mind when I read an article in a local newspaper regarding Amazon FBA brands. The expert interviewed in that article was also conducting training programs, so I decided to take the course. After a thorough market analysis, my wife and I started our product line of Gua Sha stones.

The brand was a success, but soon we faced a challenge to maintain stock to meet market demand. Therefore, we decided it was high time to sell the brand over.

Although During the pandemic in 2020, it was a very good year for us. My wife ran the business with me, and we decided that with the increase in revenue and history of strong performance, it was the right time to sell. Looking back, I feel that it was the correct decision to make.

If you ask me about the process of selling his brand to eBrands, we used a broker to help secure the best deal. However, it started slowly as it took us a little over a month to get our first listing published but the rest of the process unfolded quickly once the listing went online.

We managed to conduct 10 interviews in a week. However, once we met the eBrands’ team, we were confident of the match. We powered through the rest of the interviews and decided to work with eBrands. All in all, what made me choose eBrands was the straightforwardness of the acquisition process, as well as the trust conveyed during the meetings.

What struck me the most about eBrands, was the simplicity of the migration process. The teamwork and communication were well structured. I worked closely with Jonne, and it was in the final stages of the process of selling my brand to eBrands that we both approached each other with an idea to collaborate in the future.

At the end of the day, business is not just about always getting the highest multiples but also looking at the overall deal and ensuring a future for the brand me and my wife worked so hard to build.

Now that the deal has been successful and we made a good fortune, I would not just go wild and spend it all away. I want to continue pursuing other endeavours in Amazon FBA brands. I would not say it is easy to build a successful brand from the ground up. However, I have to admit that it is addictive because once you have got the taste of how to do it, you want to do it all over again, and another idea comes to successful fruition.
